We visted Mommy in the ICU
Today, around early 4pm, we visted Mommy in the ICU, all 6 of us were allowed in the room this time.
It was definitely emotional, it was my first time seeing her incubated.
I asked a bunch of questions about my mom and her condition, and the nurse promptly answered for us.
The nurse asked for our names. I told her my my name is Alan. She later asked if I go by Alan. I was like, yes <: She said, okay just making sure.
I also talked about my mom's condition.
I asked if her cancer was bone or blood.
The nurse said that it was blood cancer.
That made me feel disappointed, but still kinda hopeful for her improvement.
She had tubes and machines hooked up to her, that was pretty hard to see. But it also made me optimistic for her recovery.
My youngest sibling had to take a break, they left the room and my 2nd youngest sibling and I followed them.
Then my my older siblings followed us to the waiting room. My eldest brother stayed.
We gathered ourselves.
My younger siblings and I eventually returned to see Mommy in her ICU room.
The doctor let my brother know that Mommy could be cancer free within a year.
My youngest sibling asked if Mommy can hear us. The doctor and nurse answered yes.
So then my youngest sibling let her know that the roof is fixed, so then I said, yes the roof is fixed.
I felt inspired knowing that she can hear us. I had my speculations, but I'm happy to know that she can actually hear us.
I Love you, Mommy, that's what I told her when I returned back again because my sibs and I had to leave because my mom had to get a chest X-ray.
My big brother and sister then told her that they love her. My eldest brother and sister gave a summary of the roof progress.
I feel emotional, but hopeful.
Thanks for reading.
