Brave

I accidentally spilled my water bottle on the floor, and that wasn't good. So I called the nursing station and explained the situation.

After that I told myself, I'm such a clutz, I'm a pussy, hours after surgery and I'm already a c#nt.

Then, my red shirt tech girl came in and I apologized a bunch, and she told me that it was okay, it happens all the time.

She used brown paper towels at first, but then she thought of about another approach and used a towel which worked flawlessly.

I thanked her. Then the other nurse came in, the one with the purple hair.

She was wondering what happened so then I explained to her that I was adjusting my bed, then the water spilled. She informed me that it happens to her all the time.

"Yeah, when I was adjusting my bed the water bottle tipped over and fell, I was like, oh no!"

She then told me that she finally got the antibiotics for me after fighting with the system. I told her, thanks for fighting for me.

She said, yes I fighting for all my patients.

Now Alan, this sounds like a stupid question, but do you know how to turn off the lights in your room?

I was like, yes, and then I turned off the lights.

She wanted me to get sleep.

I thanked her for the idea she

She then asked me, now Alan I know I already have this information on the papers, but remind me how old are you again?.

I was like, I'm 25.

She told me, well Alan you're pretty Brave

I know grown azs adults who wouldn't make the same decisions as you.

I was super flattered (: and I thanked her.

I wish I got that on tape, that comment made me feel so happy and content!

It's funny too, because I was just thinking about how old I am. She suggesting that 25 is young make me feel better.

When she circled back to me, I was like, thanks for calling me brave, that was inspiring (: ♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡◇♡

She smiled (:

Thanks for reading!

(Looks like I feel asleep before publishing this, I like finished writing this at late 2am, it's now late 4am, lol. I might as well update y'all. A few minutes ago I woke up, red shirt tech girl was getting ready to do my vitals. I was like, thank you. She was like, you have the strongest sleep I ever seen, my god. I was like, oh me? Thank you (:

Then after doing my vitals and removing my blood pressure things from my arm and finger, she said by sweetie ♡ I was like, thanks (:

It's funny she mentioned sweetie, because I was thinking of a scenario of texting my mom with something like, aren't I one of your most unique daughters?

LoL, thank you so much for reading!

Update again, my mommy replied to the message I sent her about the National Geographic story.

She thanked me for sharing my heartfelt message of my journey and she informed me that I already do incredible things everyday.
She also mentioned that I gave her even more of a reason to watch National Geographic.

She suggested that they change the title name of Taboo. I agreed, I was like they should call it "unique".

I also thanked her for her beautiful response, I let her know that it made me feel happy!

Anyway, thanks again for reading, it's now 5:04am.

Alan.
