I got a Visa card Publix and Plenty of stories!
I got a Visa card at Publix, I wanted $120 on it, but it wasn't adjustable unfortunately.
She suggested I get a new one, but then I was like, I'll put $200 on it.
The transaction went into a slight prob, the other employee, he had to get a new card, I apologized, employee 1 assured me that it was fine. Employee 2 returned, I thanked him. Then a few moments later Employee 2 asked Employe 1, "Did you give him his change?" She said yes.
I was worried about that, the Facial Feminization Surgery not working, that's why I even hesitated to buy the card. But, I'm happy I wasn't called "Sir" though, at least. If I was, I would have said, actually it's "Ms" I still have swelling from surgery.
It's okay though, my pronouns are She/He anyway, but first impressions is what I'm seeking. I want people to initially see me as fem. It's ok, I just need to do my hair, then I'll get out of this ordeal.
Also what was funny earlier before I got the Visa, I went with my bro and 2nd eldest sis to Publix.
Then I went in the Pharmacy line, and the tech had some trouble at first pulling up my RX.
She asked what the name of the medication was, so I was like, "Estradiol".
Then my bro and sis come behind me.
My sis asks, what is for?
Is this your HRT?
And then I got so embarrassed and rolled my eyes a bit, and said, "yessss".
Lol, that was sooo embarrassing.
But, then I saw a guy with dreads in pink pants and a spider Gwen shirt, and that to me was super inspiring.
What was also inspiring was me over thinking about when the cashier at publix called me "he" I was like, once the swelling goes down, they'll see. Then I saw a barbie doll in a pink swimsuit. Total goals.
I also asked at the customer service place if the store was hiring. The lady informed me that they weren't hiring. I was still chirpy, and said "ok, thanks for letting me know, have a good one!". (:
Later on, we went to the dollar general, there I waited in line. Then I asked if the store was hiring, and the clerk was like, yes we are hiring.
That was awesome. She gave me a receipt paper to write my name and number.
She asked if my name was Alan, and I confirmed yes, with a smile.
I feel more confident now in my future job endeavors. I'll givd Dollar G a Go!
Thanks for reading!
